Fort Campbell salutes America’s Soldiers on Independence Day

Fort Campbell, KY – The 4th of July festivities concluded with the Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Welcome Home Concert and Fireworks Show. The event expresses the communities gratitude for the sacrifices that the soldiers and their families at Fort Campbell makes for our country.
The day opened with an invocation, followed by a short speech by 101st Airborne Division Commander Maj. Gen. John F. Campbell in which he dedicated the day to those both here at home, and in off in far flung war zones who are serving our country.
Come down to McGregor Park Tonight and Celebrate Independence Day

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Aetna Insurance are joining together to celebrating our nation’s independence with the fourth annual Independence Day Celebration tonight down at McGregor Park. The event will be filled with food, fun and entertainment for the entire family. It all starts 6:00pm.
Local performers Tina Brown and Chris Robertson will provide live music throughout the evening, followed by country music artist, John Anderson. With more than 40 singles on the Billboard country music charts, Anderson has five Number Ones: “Wild and Blue,” “Swingin’,” “Black Sheep,” and “Money in the Bank.” The night will end with a spectacular fireworks finale, the largest in Clarksville.
Liberty Park boat ramp to open additional days this holiday Weekend

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department will open the Liberty Park boat ramp for an additional day this Fourth of July Weekend. The new, four-lane boat ramp and two boat docks will be open Friday, July 1th, through Monday, July 4th, from 7:00am to 8:00pm. However, because of Sunday’s Independence Day Celebration, the ramp will be open 7:00am to midnight to accommodate boaters.

Billy Dunlop Park will be closed to the public July 10th-15th for Girl Scouts Day Camp and July 16th-22nd for Boy Scouts Day Camp.

The Independence Week Carnival, is presented by USAA and Morale, Welfare and Recreation. The fireworks show featured music by the 101st Airborne Division Band.

Through 350 live performances, Dan and his band have spent the past two years sharing his songs with new fans across the region. Venues he has performed at include Fort Campbell, the prestigious Gibson Showcase in Nashville, 4th Street Live in Louisville and Turfway Park. When they are home they can be found performing at local establishments in the Cincinnati area.
