APSU This Week: Latinx Heritage Month continues with ‘In the Heights’ showing

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) will continue a monthlong celebration of Latinx Heritage Month with a free showing of “In the Heights” at 7:00pm Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021 at the Clement Auditorium. Doors open at 6:00pm and free snacks will be available.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) will kick off a monthlong celebration of Latinx Heritage Month with free food and music on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Morgan University Plaza (MUC).
The event will be hosted by the Latin Community Resource Center (LCRC), which has events planned through mid-October.

USS LST-325 arrives in Clarksville Wednesday, September 6th

Clarksville, TN – The USS LST-325, 328-foot-long landing ship tank, will arrive in Clarksville on Wednesday, September 6th, 2017. The ship’s arrival in Clarksville is one of the many activities that are part of Visit Clarksville’s Welcome Home Veterans Celebration.
The LST-325 will be open for tours beginning at 9:00a.m. on Thursday, September 7th through 5:00pm Friday, September 15th. The LST will depart from Clarksville on Saturday, September 16th, 2017.

Rivers and Spires Festival 2015 Miss River Queen and Teen Crowned

Clarksville, TN – Tanna Norman has been named Miss River Queen 2015, while Jasmine Gardner will reign as the new Miss River Teen. The new titleholders were crowned at the pageant held Saturday, April 4th at Austin Peay State University’s Clement Auditorium.
The pair will reign over the Rivers and Spires Festival in Historic Downtown Clarksville, April 16th-18th, making numerous appearances, signing autographs and participating in Festival events.
Miss River Queen, Teen Will Be Crowned This Weekend

Clarksville, TN – The search is on for this year’s Miss River Queen and River Teen. The annual pageant will be held April 4th, 2015 in Clement Auditorium on the campus of Austin Peay State University.
The pageant begins at 7:00pm and doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $10.00 per person and may be purchased at the door. The event is open to the public.
