2021 Christmas Parade returns December 4th

Clarksville, TN – Floats and participants will grace the roads of historic downtown this holiday season as the 2021 Clarksville Christmas Parade returns to its original format on Saturday, December 4th, from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Planning for the annual Christmas parade is underway, with registration running now until November 19th. Registration is limited to one entry per business or organization in an effort to make this year’s parade more efficient and enjoyable. Businesses and organizations are required to have the minimum number of lights as outlined on the entry form but are encouraged to exceed the minimum.

Riverfest Cardboard Boat Regatta Registration open for Interested Teams
Clarksville, TN – Registration is now open for the annual Riverfest Cardboard Boat Regatta sponsored by Water Dogs Scuba & Safety LLC. The event will be on Saturday, September 11thm 2021 at the McGregor Park Boat Ramp at 1:00om.
Teams will build their vessel out of cardboard and race 100 yards down the Cumberland River. Awards will be presented based on boat design, boat aesthetics, team unity, costumes, and the infamous Titanic Award.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Generation Radio to headline 2021 Riverfest

Band of all-stars will rock the Riverfest main stage at McGregor Park
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Park and Recreation Department today announced that Generation Radio, a supergroup featuring legendary musicians from Rascal Flatts, Journey and Chicago, will be the featured act at the 33rd annual Riverfest celebration at McGregor Park.
This year’s festival, back after a pandemic-related hiatus in 2020, will be September 9th-11th.
Premier Medical becomes Clarksville Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – On Tuesday, July 27th the Green Certification Program welcomed its newest member organization Premier Medical Group. A green ribbon-cutting attended by Premier Medical Group staff, City of Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, and the Green Certification Program Board was held to celebrate and welcome them to the Program.
Premier Medical Group operates two multistory buildings on Dunlop Lane. The buildings were built following energy and water efficiency guidelines which conserve natural resources and promote overall sustainability.
Visit Clarksville announces 2021 Welcome Home Veterans Celebration

The five-day event includes a variety of free exhibits and activities, along with ticketed events like meals and concerts, all designed to show appreciation for the service and valor of America’s veterans.
Clarksville holds annual Independence Day Celebration

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville hosted its annual Independence Day celebration at Liberty Park on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 with music, food trucks, lots of vendors and activities, and a fantastic fireworks show to end the evening.
Thousands came out to participate in the free event hosted by Clarksville Parks and Recreation. Gates opened at 5:00pm and music began at 6:45pm. This year’s opening act was Jay Ammo. “He is excellent,” Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Event Planning Supervisor, Kali Mayes said. “Jay is a local talent, currently in the military and stationed at Fort Campbell. He is celebrating his fifth anniversary of coming to America from Guyana.”
CTS to offer free summer rides for youth

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) and the City of Clarksville are offering free summer transportation to young people to help them engage in summer jobs and enrichment programs.
CTS will offer the Summer Youth Free Ride Program from June 1st to August 31st to youth 18 and under with a valid CTS Youth or Student ID.
Tennessee Honors Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theatre, Charlie Cushman with “Tennessee Music Pathways” Markers

Clarksville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development and Visit Clarksville honored the Roxy Regional Theatre and Grammy award winning banjoist Charlie Cushman in his hometown with the unveiling of “Tennessee Music Pathways” markers.
Local and state leaders, Roxy supporters and the Cushman family gathered in two ceremonies to mark the special commemorations on Thursday, November 19th, 2020.
CMCCHF commits $3 million for the new APSU Health Professions Building

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation (CMCCHF) recently committed to a gift of $3 million to the Austin Peay State University Foundation. The gift will be used exclusively to establish the CMC Community Health Foundation Equipment & Building Fund with the APSU Foundation, to support the Health Professions Building and additional equipment needs.
