CMCSS accepting Open Enrollment for the 2020-2021 School Year

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) is now accepting open enrollment applications for the 2020-2021 school year. The district offers several non-traditional schools and programs of choice for students.
Additionally, specific grade levels in seven elementary schools are available for open enrollment.

In 2016, the Nashville State Community College student was looking to earn her bachelor’s degree, and she found a university in another part of Tennessee with a program that assisted students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

In 2009, Lyons joined the U.S. Army to escape that bleak environment, but she never forgot the young faces of her friends from those years before they lost hope.

Jessica Harris has been appointed principal at Minglewood Elementary School; and, Nabraunda Jackson has been named principal at Byrns Darden Elementary School.
Nashville State Community College becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – Nashville State Community College is the latest organization to join the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP). To celebrate their success a green ribbon cutting was held Monday, January 22nd, 2018.
City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Montgomery County Chief of Staff Jeff Truitt, Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard, CMCGCP Steering Committee member Rose Melton (Altra Federal Credit Union), CMCGCP Stephen James (Nyrstar) and CMCGCP Manager Carlye Sommers attended the ceremony.
