APSU’s Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament set for July 10th-11th
Clarksville, TN – Since hosting its inaugural event in 2010, the Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament has returned every summer to raise money for scholarships – and will do so again next month.
The Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Friday, July 10th and Saturday, July 11th at Cole Park at Fort Campbell, KY.

Clarksville, TN – The week began with a renewed sense of optimism that a Greek debt deal would be worked out. Sentiment then faded after negotiations with Greece’s creditors broke down, but then hopes continued that a deal would be reached over the weekend.
The economic data were mixed. Home sales figures improved in May. Durable goods orders were disappointing. The estimate of 1Q15 GDP was revised to show a -0.2% annual rate (vs. -0.7% in the second estimate), up 3.0% from a year ago. Note that the estimate of Gross Domestic Income rose at a 1.9% annual rate (+3.7% y/y).
Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for July 1st through July 5th, 2015
Clarksville, TN – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.
Some of the upcoming events include: Cave Hike, Port Royal History Walk, Morning Hike, Port Royal Firefly Watch, Butterfly Creation and Bird Walk.

Will Sanders Joins Planters Bank Commercial Team

APSU student spending summer as intern at Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park to feature The Lego Movie this Saturday, June 20th
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Convergys are excited to announce The LEGO Movie is coming to the big screen Saturday, June 20th as part of the 2015 Movies in the Park.
Released in 2014, The LEGO Movie (PG) is an animated story about Emmet (Chris Pratt), an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world.
APSU professor Dr. Korre Foster to conduct Académie de Musique choir in Paris
Clarksville, TN – In partnership with the French Académie de Musique, Austin Peay State University assistant professor of music Dr. Korre Foster will conduct a trio of choral performances in July in Paris.
Under a French-American exchange supported through a grant from the Florence Gould Foundation, Foster will be working with the Académie’s Chamber Choir, a collection of university, college and conservatory students gathered from throughout France.
