Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to hold Community Meeting June 30th
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is hosting the second in a series of three meetings, dubbed Community Information Exchanges, to address the concerns of the community and get feedback from citizens about activity in their particular area of the county.
This meeting will be for citizens in the communities south of the river in Montgomery County (zones 4 & 5, see graphic) and will be held at 6:30pm Tuesday, June 30th at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 1388 Cumberland Heights Road, Clarksville. This includes all areas in Montgomery County south of the Cumberland River.
Clarksville Dentistry Receives Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification
Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville Dental Center is the latest business to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.
Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville and Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard attended their green ribbon cutting to congratulate the doctors and staff on earning their certification.
Registration Deadline Extended for the Second Annual Daddy Daughter Date Night
Clarksville, TN – Sail away for a night of fun at the Second Annual Daddy Daughter Date Night. Hosted by Clarksville Parks and Recreation, the event will be held Thursday, June 25th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.
Tickets are on sale now and include an evening filled with dinner, dancing, and dessert. Prizes and fun activities will be happening all night long.
Montgomery County Parks and Recreation wins National Award for Rotary Park’s Accessible Trail addition
Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department was recently nationally recognized by the Coalition for Recreational Trails (CRT) with an award for the Rotary Park Phase II Accessible Trail.
Nine trail projects from across the country were chosen by the CRT as recipients of its Tom Petri Annual Achievement Awards. This award is in recognition for their outstanding use of Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funds.
Beachaven Winery’s Jazz on the Lawn features Rick Stone’s Dance Band this Saturday, June 20th
Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, June 20th, Beachaven Winery concert series ‘Jazz on the Lawn’ will feature music by Rick Stone’s Dance Band. The music starts at 6:30pm and goes until 9:30pm.
It is also the first themed event. To go along with the music, it will be a 60’s theme.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Billy Dunlop Park to close for Family Campout
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host the Spring Family Campout at Billy Dunlop Park this Saturday, June 20th from 2:00pm until Sunday, June 21st at 9:00am.
During the duration of the Family Campout, Billy Dunlop Park, located at E. Boy Scout Road, will be closed to the public.
Magic Wheels Skate Center Introduces Create-Your-Own Fundraiser
Night provided to raise money for any need, no matter how small.

Sue Freeman Culverhouse Speaks to Montgomery County Historical Society about Robert Penn Warren
Clarksville, TN – Author Sue Freeman Culverhouse was the featured speaker as she described the life of Robert Penn Warren at the June 15th meeting of the Montgomery County Historical Society. President Joe Filippo greeted the members and had the treasurer announce the upcoming barbeque fund-raiser to be held at the end of July.
Billyfrank Morrison gave a history of the school built on the site of the community center in South Guthrie, TN, where the event was held.

Clarksville, TN – The American Red Cross of Tennessee River is inviting the community to “enjoy a short stack for a tall cause.” On Saturday, June 20th, guests can enjoy a short stack of pancakes and a coffee for $5.00, with all proceeds benefiting programs of the Tennessee River American Red Cross.
