What’s trickier is why some investors have such difficulty remedying a situation that can pose a real threat to their long-term financial security.
Concentrated equity can arise in many ways. Investors sometimes inherit large amounts of a single stock.
Owning too much of a single security can be hazardous to your wealth.
Award-winning poet Nezhukumatathil to give reading at Austin Peay State University on September 15th
Clarksville, TN – Award-winning author Aimee Nezhukumatathil will be on the campus of Austin Peay State University for a reading of her work on September 15th at 8:00pm in the Morgan University Center, Room 303.
The event, sponsored by Zone 3 Press and the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, is free and open to the public.

Clarksville’s Riverfest Regatta Winners and Awards
Clarksville, TN – The Riverfest Regatta, presented by U.S. Bank, is not your typical boat race. The boats racing down the Cumberland River Saturday morning, September 10th were made of cardboard or plastic bottles along with a few other approved materials.
Nine teams competed not only for bragging rights, but trophies were awarded to the first, second, and third place teams in each division.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation invites you to Float the River
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host yet another float event for canoe and kayak enthusiasts. The next float is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 17th.
Participants will float approximately 2 miles on the West Fork Red River from Robert Clark Park to Billy Dunlop Park. Canoes and kayaks must be dropped off by 7:30am at Robert Clark Park.
Clarksville’s Riverfest cranked up Friday night
Clarksville, TN – Music along the Cumberland River on Riverside Drive can only mean one thing, the start of Clarksville’s Riverfest event at McGregor Park. Friday night, September 9th, the 28th annual Riverfest Celebration got rolling with live music on three stages from a diverse set of entertainers.
Along with the music, there was booths, great food and fun for young and old alike at this free event. There was a large attendance Friday night with everyone enjoying themselves.

Clarksville’s Fort Defiance to host pre-Civil War event, “Sevier Days”
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Fort Defiance Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street, is excited to present “Sevier Days,” an 18th century, pre-Civil War event from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, September 16th and 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, September 17th, 2016.

Art Experience kicked off Riverfest Thursday night
Clarksville, TN – Riverfest Art Experience was a feast for the senses Thursday night. Celtic music by Red River Breeze enticed visitors to drift and dream, and maybe dance a little jig while munching on cheese, grapes, punch and some of the yummiest brownies on the planet.
There were paintings, drawings, photography, multi-media to please almost everyone. I spoke with Brianah Summons about her painting of her favorite animals which included a tiger, a wolf, and a horse all in brilliant colors and could have easily reminded one of carousel animals. Brianah was accompanied by her mother, Cordelia Marroquin who is, I’m sure, the Kenwood High School Senior’s best supporter.

Frazier Allen: Domestic Stocks Hit All-Time Highs in August
Clarksville, TN – As summer comes to a close, the markets – as represented by the Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 – reached new highs during August, putting all three major indices in uncharted territory.
Steady economic growth, rising consumer spending and improving corporate earnings coming in better than expected were all key factors in helping drive the market.

Growing APSU Classics Program launches scholarly journal
Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Classics Program continues to grow, both in student enrollment and in its national reputation, and to take advantage of this recent momentum, the program has launched a national scholarly publication, Philomathes: A Journal of Undergraduate Research in Classics.
The new online journal will publish original research by undergraduate students in any area of Classics.
