    Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter receives grant for spay/neuter vouchers

    One of the young cats available for adoption at the Montgomery County Animal ShelterClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter has received an anonymous $10,000 donation to provide spay-neuter vouchers to pet owners in the Clarksville-Montgomery county area.

    The vouchers are available from the “Friends of the Shelter”, and will be available at “Doggie Palozza” this weekend at the Heritage Park Bark Park. The vouchers are $40.00 for cats, $50.00 for dogs, under 60 pounds.

    There are no income restrictions and the vouchers are available to anyone in Montgomery County. The vouchers will be honored at St. Bethlehem Animal Clinic and will be valid for two weeks after purchase. «Read the rest of this article»

     

    Anheuser-Busch recognizes Budweiser of Clarksville and Budweiser of Hopkinsville as Ambassadors of Excellence

    Clarksville, TN – Budweiser of Clarksville, a beverage distributorship and the corporate hub of Hand Family Companies, and Budweiser of Hopkinsville (KY), also a Hand Family Companies property, were recognized as “Ambassadors of Excellence” by Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company for their 2011 performance.

    Only 20 of the more than 700 Anheuser-Busch wholesalers in the nation were selected for the award, and the Clarksville facility placed fourth.

    Hand Family Companies learned of the awards in February and the two facilities were recognized during the Ambassadors of Excellence Top Performers meeting held April 12th-15th in Monterey, California. «Read the rest of this article»

    Restore Ministries is a new program that offers small groups, counseling and other services to help those in our community make lasting positive changes in their lives. No matter what needs attention and healing, Restore Ministries can provide the support and guidance a person needs to learn, grow and ultimately thrive. Restore Ministries accomplishes this two ways: counseling and small groups.

    Budweiser of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Budweiser of Clarksville made a $1000 donation to Habitat for Humanity Women Build 2012 in an effort to raise $30,000 in sponsorships to build a new home for a qualified low-income Habitat partner family.

    Women Build is a women-led committee dedicated to developing resources to build the home. Women from Montgomery County are dedicating their time and experience to raise funds and resources in their community for the effort. City Councilwoman Deanna McLaughlin is leading the campaign.

    New Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library Director Named

    Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library Board of Trustees recently appointed Martha Hendricks to the full-time position of Library Director. Martha has previously held the positions interim director and assistant director.

    She has been with the library for more than three years and worked with the Warioto Regional Library program for more than thirteen years.
