New health professions building and new military institute coming to APSU
Clarksville, TN – Major changes are coming to Austin Peay State University (APSU) with the addition of a 114,600-square-foot, three-story Health Professions Building on Eighth Street and the creation of the state’s first Institute for National Security and Military Studies.

CDE Lightband, TVA award Kenwood Middle School $5,000 in STEM Grant Funds
Clarksville, TN – In partnership with CDE Lightband, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and Bicentennial Volunteers Inc, Kenwood Middle School was awarded $5,000 in STEM grant funds. STEM at its core is a teaching philosophy that blends Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math together which offers students the opportunity to experience real-world applications.

Clarksville, TN – The unforgettable characters of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel will come to life on our screen this weekend as we Get Back to the Movies at the Roxy Regional Theatre with “The Color Purple” this Friday, April 23rd, 2021 at 7:00pm.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, this epic tale spans four decades in the life of Celie (Whoopi Goldberg), a Black woman living in the South who survives incredible abuse and bigotry.
After Celie’s abusive father marries her off to the equally debasing “Mister” Albert Johnson (Danny Glover), things go from bad to worse, leaving Celie to find strength through her companions Sofia (Oprah Winfrey) and Shug (Margaret Avery).
