Clarksville, TN – This fall, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Foundation is using a Tennessee Community CARES Program grant to offer free hot meals to students in need.
APSU Homecoming rescheduled for Sunday, March 21st, 2021
Clarksville, TN – During the Austin Peay State University (APSU) virtual “Remembering Homecoming” event earlier this month, celebrating what would have been the University’s Fall Homecoming 2020, APSU officials announced a new Homecoming date of Sunday, March 21st, 2021.
APSU waives ACT, SAT, GRE tests for 2021 Summer, Fall Admission
Clarksville, TN – It’s now easier than ever to apply to Austin Peay State University (APSU). That’s because the University is again waiving standardized test requirements – the ACT, SAT and GRE – for any student applying for undergraduate or graduate admission for the summer and fall 2021 terms.
Austin Peay State University statistics instructor builds real-world models to help students grasp math concepts
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University statistics instructor Sam Ligo for years has used his woodworking skills and engineering know-how to build mathematical models – real-world 3D representations of the math – to help his students learn.
And over the summer, he built his latest learning tool – a Galton Board.

Central Civitan BBQ Chicken Dinners event set for Saturday, October 24th
Cunningham, TN – The Central Civitan is holding their annual BBQ Chicken Dinner event on Saturday, October 24th, 2020. The Adult Plate is just $8.00. Please purchase tickets ahead of time. You can purchase from any club member or contact Susie Yonkers at susie.yonkers@gmail.com
This is take out only. Each dinner includes a 1/2 chicken, with baked beans, slaw, and a beverage. Pick up will be at the Central Civitan building located between Hwy 13 and Alonzo Place in Cunningham, TN.

APSU School of Nursing forms partnership with Fisk University
Clarksville, TN – Last year, when Fisk University decided to provide a nursing pathway for its students, the Nashville-based school reached out to one of the top programs in the region – the Austin Peay State University (APSU) School of Nursing. Officials at Fisk liked that APSU’s program consistently had a near 100% passing rate for the national licensure test, and Austin Peay State University officials were eager to take advantage of the diversity that Fisk – a historically Black university – offered.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department to observe Public Natural Gas Week
Citizens invited to drive-through event, Free Giveaways and Food
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) will observe the national Public Natural Gas Week from October 4th-10th, 2020.
This annual nationwide event is intended to build public awareness about the value of having a community-owned natural gas utility.
