Fort Campbell 4th of July Celebration – The Carnival
The Independence Week Carnival, presented by USAA and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, began June 30th at 5:00pm and ran through July 5th. This year’s festivities included carnival rides and games provided by Belle City Amusements. The July 4th celebration is kicked off with a free concert and ends with a 20 minute fireworks display.

The Clarksville Independence Day Celebration kicked off July 3rd at 6:00pm at McGregor park.. The free festivities includes music with local favorites Tina Brown, McAlister’s Crossroads and from Country artist Joe Diffie. The conclusion of the event was a large fireworks display.

Clarksville Downtown Market, June 26th
The Clarksville Downtown Market is held every Saturday from 8:00am until 1:00pm. The market is seasonal, starting in May and running through October. You can find lots of different vegetables, fruits as well as crafts, soaps, breads and pies.

ESPN Bassmaster Elite Series’s Tenessee Triumph Kentucky Lake, Paris TN, being held June 9th-12th. Kevin VanDam cranks his way to victory with a four day total of 92 pounds, 5 ounces. This was VanDam’s 17th victory.
Forever Plaid at the Spring Salon Series
Austin Peay State University along with John McDonald and Tom Thayer of the Roxy Regional Theatre offered attendees of the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts’ Spring Salon Series a sneak preview of the upcoming Musical Forever Plaid.
Christopher Burawa from the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts had this to say after seeing the preview yesterday said, “The 4 young actors bring it all: doo wop, plaid, and panache!”
The 2010 Unity Day Ceremony
The 2010 Unity Day Ceremony held in Clarksville, Tennessee on Sunday June 6th. The event is the brainchild of Treva Gordon, the Founder and Publisher of the Convenient Shopper an advertising supported bi-monthly magazine. However, during the evenings ceremonies Clarksville Mayor Johnny Piper announced that Unity Day would be officially recognized by the City each year.
