Fort Campbell Welcome Home Ceremony – 3rd BCT (3-320) Jan. 30th

Fort Campbell, KY – On January 30th, 2011 at 7:45am, Fort Campbell KY held a welcome home ceremony for the 101st Airborne Division, 3rd Brigade Combat Team (3-320). 200 Soldiers returned from duty in Khowst Province, Afghanistan.

More of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team returned from Afghanistan Late Saturday Afternoon.

Fort Campbell, KY – The return of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team from the Khowst Province of Afghanistan continued last night with the arrival of 167 “Red Knight Rakkasans” part of the the 3-320th Field Artillery unit.

Family and friends of the returning soldiers had gathered together to give their loved ones a proper welcome home.

Fort Campbell, KY – On January 29th, 2011 at 5:45pm, Fort Campbell KY held a welcome home ceremony for the 101st Airborne Division 3rd Brigade Combat Team (3-320). 167 Soldiers returned from duty in Khowst Province, Afghanistan.

City of Clarksville presented flag by 101st Airborne Division

Clarksville, TN – Mayor Kim McMillan was presented an American flag on Tuesday that flew over headquarters of the 101st Airborne Division at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.

Maj. Gen. Frank Wiercinski, administrative senior commander at Fort Campbell, personally delivered the flag and a plaque to the Mayor’s Office on behalf of Maj. Gen. John Campbell, commanding general of the 101st, who is currently in Afghanistan.

“Operation Celebrate Children” to Feature National Anthem by Award-winning Artist Trace Adkins

Nashville, TN – Families of Fort Campbell soldiers on active duty will be treated on Saturday, October 2nd, to a private, free performance of Disney On Ice presents Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Fort Campbell families, who have recently seen their service members deployed for the third and fourth times, will also be treated to a national anthem performance by multiplatinum, award-winning country music star Trace Adkins.

Fort Campbell Director named Army’s Top Civilian

Carroll is the 2010 recipient of the Association of the U.S. Army’s Joseph Cribbins Army Civilian Award as its top Army civilian. Carroll, the director of contracting at the Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Campbell KY, director of Contracting, will be honored during the AUSA annual meeting in Washington, D.C., this October.

Carroll leads a staff of more than 50 civilian and military contingency contracting officers providing mission-essential contractual support for Fort Campbell units including the 101st Airborne Division, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, the 5th Special Forces Group, as well as the garrison and post tenants. In fiscal 2009, Carroll and her staff managed more than $216 million worth of contracts for Fort Campbell, which is an increase of 80 percent from fiscal 2002 and done with a manpower decrease of 38 percent.

Fort Campbell really knows how to celebrate Independence Day

July 9, 2010

Fort Campbell’s MWR wrapped up their week long 4th of July Celebration on July 5th, and While many of the 101st Airborne Division’s Soldiers are on deployment in Afghanistan, their families were treated to a celebration that rewarded the sacrifice both they and their loved ones are making.

This year’s festivities include carnival rides and more than 20 games of skill, and of course lots of festive foods, all provided by Belle City Amusements; a series of free concerts all day on July 4th;  and who can forget the amazing 30 minute long fireworks extravaganza that lights up the sky for miles around. The 101st Parachute Demonstration Team also demonstrated their precision.

Fort Campbell 4th of July Celebration – The Fireworks Part 2

The Independence Day Celebration is attended by thousands of Soldiers, Family members and civilians every year. Fort Campbell pumped up the holiday with a free concert featuring four country acts.  The Independence Week Carnival, is presented by USAA and Morale, Welfare and Recreation. The fireworks show featured music by the 101st Airborne Division Band.
