Clarksville, TN – One of the most enduring pieces of American literature takes to the stage of Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, the Roxy Regional Theatre, this spring.
Based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning coming-of-age novel about a man wrongly convicted and persecuted for a crime on the basis of his skin color, “To Kill A Mockingbird” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, March 8th, at 8:00pm.
In keeping with the theatre’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not pre-sold at the full price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.
John Adkison stars as Atticus Finch alongside Katie Stafford and Georgia Litaker, sharing the role of Scout, in Harper Lee’s “To Kill A Mockingbird” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, March 8th – March 23rd.

Legends Bank presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s masterpiece “Oklahoma!” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, beginning Friday, July 27th, at 8:00pm. Thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey to rescue a feisty princess.
The Roxy Regional School of the Arts presents an irreverently fun adventure for the entire family with “SHREK the Musical JR.” at the Roxy Regional Theatre, May 20th through June 11th.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the book by William Steig, “SHREK The Musical JR.” is directed and choreographed by Tom Thayer, with additional choreography by Emily Rourke and music direction by Lacey Connell.

A spoiled child, a mother’s death, the changing times and the loss of great wealth bring George Amberson his ultimate comeuppance in this timeless piece about the declining fortunes of a proud Midwestern family and the social changes brought by the automobile age.

After nine years of delivering countless “Bah Humbugs” upon the Roxy Regional Theatre stage, John McDonald will hang up his hat as the miserly businessman Ebenezer Scrooge with this year’s production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmsa Carol”, opening December 9th.
Under the direction of Tom Thayer, Dickens’ classic tale of Christmases Past, Present and Future meets such holiday standards as “Deck the Halls,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “What Child Is This,” “I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In” and more, performed to the music of acoustic instrumentalists Red River Breeze.
