Party in the Park slow kickoff, but lots of potential

The Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation seeking to provide more activities for children in their late teens, kicked off a Party in the Park Friday evening. The inaugural event started off slow but by the end of the evening the kids were playing volleyball, dancing, lip syncing, and having fun socializing with other young people their age.

Clarksville Parks & Recreation to host Teen event, “Party in the Park”

June 21, 2010

The City of Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting a new event for teens ages 15-18-years-old at Billy Dunlop Park on June 25th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. This event, “Party in the Park,” is part of our new summer series just for teens! Each month from June through August, one monthly event will be held at different locations for teens to beat the summertime blues with music, games, food, and more- all in a fun, safe environment. Admission to the event is free and a picture ID is required. Billy Dunlop Park is located at 1930 E Boy Scout Road.

Billy Dunlop Park closing to the public

July 12, 2009

parksandrec1-200x66Billy Dunlop Park will be closed to the public from July 13th-25th. The park is located on Needmore Road between 101st Parkway and Tiny Town Road.  The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will be using the park during these days for private events.  The park will reopen to the public on July 25 at noon.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.  Please feel free visit any of the City of Clarksville’s other park facilities.  For a complete list of parks and locations, visit www.cityofclarksville.com/parksandrec.
