Clarksville’s Valleybrook Park to get new Playgrounds

Clarksville, TN – Valleybrook Park, a neighborhood green space on Crossland Avenue near downtown, will be getting a $447,000 facelift thanks to a federal grant secured by the City of Clarksville.
Improvements include two new playgrounds, a new restrooms, a new pavilion, conversion of the current restrooms to an additional pavilion, and repaving of the parking lot.

City of Clarksville uses state grants to continue Greenway
Clarksville, TN – Construction has begun on a another downtown section of the Clarksville Greenway, which ultimately will create a 10-mile hiking-and-biking trail connection between the City’s core and Heritage Park in Northeast Clarksville.
The latest section is known as the River Trail Red River Section and extends north along the Red River from the RiverWalk in McGregor Park to the Highway 41A bridge at Providence Boulevard.

City of Clarksville to dedicate Frank Sutton statue Saturday

Clarksville, TN – A statue of actor Frank “Sergeant Carter” Sutton, who was born and raised in Clarksville, will be dedicated at 1:30pm Saturday on Franklin Street in Downtown Clarksville.
Mark Holleman, civic leader and broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman working with the City of Clarksville, led the drive to place the statue — created by local sculptor Scott Wise — near the Roxy Theatre in Sutton’s hometown.

Walk MS: Clarksville is an opportunity for people living with MS and those who care about them to connect, join together, and be inspired. In 2016, nearly 300,000 people at more than 550 locations across the country walked to create a world free of MS, raising nearly $50 million.

CTS will offer the Summer Youth Free Ride Program from May 30th to August 31st to youth 18 and under with a valid CTS Youth or Student ID.
