No Gym Required: R.U.N. Provides Plenty of Ways to Meet Your Fitness Goals

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation has teamed up with Healthy Clarksville to offer a new walking + running program, R.U.N., designed to help you along the road of self-discovery and fitness.
This 16-week training program is structured to help beginners cross the finish line of your first 5K at Queen City Road Race on May 6th (which is optional) and to help more advanced runners beat your previous personal records and set new goals for yourself.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Lighted Christmas Parade Winners

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government are excited to announce the winners of this year’s night-time, lighted Christmas parade that was held on Saturday, December 3rd in Downtown Clarksville.
Over 100 local businesses, schools, and organizations showcased their Christmas spirit by walking, preparing a float, or driving a fun vehicle all decked out in holiday cheer to this year’s theme “Christmas Trees & Memories”.
Clarksville Transit System receives New Paratransit Vehicles

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Transit System (CTS) has received nine new paratransit vehicles. Funding was received for all nine vehicles through the Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Grant Program. The total funding received was $367,311.
These vehicles will average 110 trips per day and began to service the community on December 7th.

New Providence Pool opens its doors for its indoor season on Monday, December 5th.
New Providence Pool is the only public indoor pool in the City of Clarksville.

Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the City of Clarksville, the state and country. Founded by American Express in 2010, this day is celebrated each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Clarksville’s 18th annual Christmas on the Cumberland Opens

Clarksville, TN – Tuesday night, November 22nd, hundreds of people gathers at the McGregor Park RiverWalk and Museum for the grand opening ceremony of the City of Clarksville’s 18th annual Christmas on the Cumberland.
Just before the ceremony began, those in attendance were treated to Christmas Carols by the Rossview High School Choir.
