Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announces City’s first Military and Veterans Liason

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan has created the position of Military and Veterans Liaison for the City of Clarksville.
“For some time it has been apparent to me that the City needs an employee dedicated to serving as a liaison between the City and Fort Campbell,” said Mayor McMillan.

Clarksville, TN – Children of all ages are encouraged to come to Christmas on the Cumberland for fun, family-friendly activities. Christmas on the Cumberland is open nightly from 5:00pm to 10:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and 5:00pm to 11:00pm Fridays and Saturdays through January 3rd, 2015. Admission to the event is free.
Activities will take place from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, this Friday and Saturday, December 19th and 20th.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville Chief of Administration Bill Harpel and Chamber of Commerce President Melinda Shepherd were on hand to congratulate CAR.

Austin Peay State University “Bridge Over College Street” project explores relationship between APSU, City of Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Students at Austin Peay State University are putting the final touches on a project that explores the relationship between the University and the city in which it calls home.
Titled “Bridge Across College Street,” the project will feature artwork from APSU students exploring the University’s relationship with the City of Clarksville through interviews with members of both communities. From 10:00am-3:00pm Tuesday, members of APSU’s President’s Emerging Leaders Program (PELP) will be displaying their work on College Street near the APSU campus. [Read more]
