Fort Defiance played host to a one day Civil War Artifacts Exhibit

Clarksville, TN – John and Nikki Walsh have been collecting Civil War antiquities for many years. During that time they have established a museum quality collection of historic Civil War artifacts from throughout the middle Tennessee region.
n Saturday many of these items came to Clarksville for a one-day exhibit at the Fort defiance visitors center.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation holds third annual Wettest Egg Hunt at Indoor Aquatic Center

Clarksville, TN – The Indoor Aquatic Center once again played host to one of the most popular Easter events in Clarksville, The Wettest Egg Hunts. On Saturday, April 12th, thousands of brightly colored eggs were put into the swimming and wading pools, to await the hundreds of children who would plunge in to seek out a variety of prizes.
Many of the eggs floated, but some were weighted causing them to sink to the bottom of the pool.

Sleep Under the Stars at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Spring Family Campout

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to sleep under the stars at Billy Dunlop Park. Registration is underway for the spring Family Campout beginning at 2:00pm Saturday, May 17th, until 9:00am Sunday, May 18th at the park located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road.
Activities will include a bonfire, games, ghost stories and lots of fun!

Clarksville Transit System (CTS) receives Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification

Montgomery County, TN – The latest organization to complete requirements for Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification is the Clarksville Transit System (CTS).
City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers, and Chamber of Commerce Director Melinda Shepard were among those who attended to congratulate the Clarksville Transit System for their work.

First Class of 2014 Completes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Workshops

Montgomery County, TN – The first class of 2014 completed the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program (CMCGCP) workshops. The group began in January and concluded a series of three workshops that lasted approximately three hours each in March.

Battle of the Sexes at the Roxy Regional Theatre in Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing”, March 7th – 15th

Clarksville, TN – The eternal battle of the sexes takes a witty and suspenseful turn in the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 29th annual Shakespeare offering, the timeless comedy “Much Ado About Nothing”, March 7th-15th.
Taylor Galvin and Brandon Beach star as reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick, whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever. Meanwhile, the two young lovers Claudio and Hero, played by Michael Spaziani and Michelle Foletta, are to be married imminently but for the devious scheming of a resentful prince looking to thwart the nuptials.
