Clarksville Parks and Recreation Facility Hours to Change for CMCSS Fall Break

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Crow Community Center, Burt-Cobb Community Center, Kleeman Community Center and Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence will adjust their hours of operation for the Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) Fall Break.

From October 14th-18th, all three community centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm Monday-Thursday, and 10:00am to 6:00pm Friday. The Indoor Aquatic Center will remain open from 6:30am to 8:00pm. All facilities will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, October 19th. [Read more]

Clarksville Parks and Recreation gives Billy Dunlop Park a facelift

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 28th, 2013 the City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation partnered with Freudenberg Filtration Technologies of Hopkinsville, Kentucky to complete a Company Service Project at Billy Dunlop Park.

The project consisted of replacing the gravel that covers the playground with a softer wood mulch, clearing out brush near the walking bridge and painting a fence.

54th Annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade entries now being accepted

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Be a part of a Clarksville tradition by participating in this year’s annual Christmas parade, hosted by the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government.

The parade, a night-time, lighted Christmas parade, is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th, 2013 beginning at 5:00pm in Downtown Clarksville and will feature the Budweiser Clydesdales and the 101st Army Band.

Indoor Aquatic Center - New ProvidenceClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to enjoy the Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, this fall and winter!

The Indoor Aquatic Center opens its doors for the Indoor Season on Tuesday, October 1st. Enjoy a day of free admission, refreshments and free Wibit and Aqua Climb access on Opening Day from 6:30am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm until 8:00pm.

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The 5th Annual Fright on Franklin, presented by The City of Clarksville and Altra Federal Credit Union, will take place, Saturday, October 26th, beginning at 3:00pm in Downtown Clarksville.

This free, family friendly and award winning event is for adults and kids of all ages and will feature safe trick-or-treating, a hayride, costume contests, and much more!
