Clarksville, TN – Last Friday morning, Dr. Alisa White, Austin Peay State University president, told several community leaders that she is proud of the University’s record enrollment of 10,954 students and Austin Peay’s position as the fastest-growing university in Tennessee.
The mid-term goal is to reach 13,000 students with an eventual steady enrollment state of 15,000 students.
City of Clarksville announces Work to begin on next section of Riverwalk

Clarksville, TN – Construction on the Red River Trail East – Phase I section of the Cumberland Riverwalk will begin next week.
Construction vehicles will enter and exit on the east side of 868 Kraft Street (Action Air of Clarksville) beginning February 4th and continuing through August 2nd.
Ice Skating Ends at Downtown Commons

Montgomery County, TN – Soon the green space at Downtown Commons will be open again as we bid farewell to the outdoor ice rink for the 2018-2019 season. The second year of skating at the Downtown Commons Winter Ice Rink ended this week. It was another successful season with thousands of skaters who were able to take advantage of an uncommon outdoor activity for our community. The tear down process will begin by the end of this week.
After looking at trends from the 2017-2018 ice skating season, changes were made in 2018-2019 that included fewer days and hours for optimum use.

Miller Town Apartments Renovation adds Affordable Housing in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Miller Town Apartments celebrated a grand reopening Wednesday after renovating all 96 apartment homes, thanks in part to funding assistance from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA).
The apartments are on Jack Miller Boulevard near Fort Campbell and feature two and three-bedroom apartment homes with modern kitchens, an outdoor pool, a playground and a community room.

This night-time, lighted Christmas parade is scheduled for 5:00pm Saturday, December 1st, 2018 in downtown Clarksville.
Three time cancer survivor Kristie Mixon will be this year’s grand marshal. Join Clarksville Mayor McMillan for the official tree lighting ceremony on Public Square immediately after the parade.

Clarksville, TN – The 2018 Toyota East West All-Star Classic will be held in Clarksville, Tennessee at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium on Friday, December 7th, 2018 for the second year.
The All-Star Classic is organized by the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association (TACA) and is made up of the state’s top 88 senior football players who are selected from more than 400 nominations.
