Indoor Aquatic Center to extend “Dome Days” promotions

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce that the popular “Dome Days” promotion at the Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence will continue through February 29th!
The “Dome Days” promotion includes “Dollar Day” which enables all patrons to enjoy all-day access to the indoor pool for the price of $1.00 each Tuesday. The second half of the “Dome Days” promotion is “2-for-1 Day” in which patrons visiting the Indoor Aquatic Center on Thursdays will receive two all-day admissions for the price of one. [Read more]
Clarksville Liberty Park Boat Ramp Access Closed for Construction

Clarksville, TN – Beginning immediately, Liberty Park Boat Ramp will be closed to the public. For some time, the boat ramp at Liberty Park has been open for public use, while the rest of the park has remained closed for ongoing construction.
However, project Contractor TMS Construction is claiming traffic in the area has increased to the point that it is interfering with the project. [Read more]
Another Step Closer for the Clarksville Marina

Clarksville, TN – Mayor Kim McMillan received notification that the Army Corps of Engineers has approved the lease agreement between the City of Clarksville and Cumberland River, LLC.
“Corps approval is a critical step in moving forward with development,” explained Mayor McMillan. “Once the City Council approved the agreement on Tuesday night, we immediately moved forward to sign and forward it to the Corps for review. To receive approval within 48 hours is a direct result of our hard work and commitment to completing this project. We are very appreciative of the wonderful working relationship we have with the Corps and their enthusiasm for the project and we look forward to working with them to bring it to completion.” [Read more]
Clarksville City Offices Holiday Schedule

Beginning Tuesday, December 13th, and ending Tuesday, January 3rd, each Tuesday will be $1.00 Admission Day at the Indoor Aquatic Center. Patrons can enjoy all-day access to the facility for only $1.00. [Read more]
Clarksville’s holds 5th Annual Downtown for the Holidays

Clarksville, TN – In what has become a Christmas Tradition, the City of Clarksville held their annual Downtown for the Holiday event on Saturday.
The event kicked off with the Jingle Bell Jog 5K Road Race in the morning, followed that afternoon by Christmas Caroling on the steps of the Montgomery County Court House along with free hot chocolate for the kids. The evening closed out with the 5th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade.

52nd Annual Christmas Parade tonight

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville has partnered with the Montgomery County Government this year to co-host the 52nd Annual Christmas Parade tonight.
The parade will be a night-time, lighted Christmas parade and will start at 5:00pm.
The Christmas parade is an event for local businesses, schools, and organizations to showcase their Christmas spirit. This year’s theme is “Home for the Holidays”.
Clarksville Fire Rescue Offers Free Home Screenings

Clarksville, TN – Through the month of December, Clarksville Fire Rescue will offer free home screenings for city residents. These fire safety screenings will include a check of all safety equipment like smoke detectors and other alarms, making sure each family has an escape plan if a fire occurs and a general inspection for fire hazards in the home.
“This is the first time Clarksville Fire Rescue has offered this service and we’re very excited about the program,” said Clarksville Fire Marshal Ray Williams. “Most fire related deaths happen between December and February each year and most fatalities involve people over 65 and children 5 years old or younger. This program will save lives by helping Clarksville’s families be prepared.” [Read more]
