Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s ‘Fun with Fido’ event series continues September 20th

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation Department, Alicia’s Complete Holistic Petcare, and Gateway Realty/A+ Property Management introduced Fun with Fido, a new, event series to promote an active lifestyle for you and your four-legged family member in June.

The series will continue its season Saturday, September 20th at the Clarksville Downtown Market from 8:00am to 1:00pm on Public Square. Bring Fido for a day of shopping, crafts, give-a-ways, and more!

Clarksville’s 9th Annual ‘Frolic on Franklin’ Set for September 13th

Clarksville's Frolic on FranklinClarksville, TN – Downtown Clarksville’s 9th Annual “Frolic on Franklin: A Celebration of the Arts” will take place Saturday, September 13th from 8:30am-3:30pm.

The free event will showcase the works of more than 30 artists, staged entertainment, art demonstrations, and a doggie fashion show – all along the 100 block of historic Franklin Street.

A variety of original fine art, as well as handmade crafts, will be on display including paintings and photography, jewelry, clay garden items, wood work, purses and fabric accessories, pottery, candles, jewelry, woven and knitted items, and seasonal gifts. Items will be for sale with prices ranging from $2.00 – $500.00.

Clarksville Downtown MarketClarksville, TN – Tucked in the hills and hollers of Cumberland City, Tennessee is the Cumberland Quilting Company studio out of Denise Coulter’s basement.

After over 30 years as an Army wife, the Coulters retired outside of Clarksville. Denise has been working in the quilting industry for over 10 years and now works from her basement-turned-quilting-studio.

“I have been working with needles and thread for as long as I can remember, starting at four years old on my Nonnie’s lap, sewing on a machine.”

Parking along road yellow median no longer allowed at Clarksville Downtown Market

Clarksville Downtown MarketClarksville, TN – Beginning this week at the Clarksville Downtown Market on Public Square we will no longer be allowing customers that come to the market to park along the yellow median on the road.

Signs will be posted stating to not park along that area and the police will begin ticketing individuals that park there.

This has become a safety concern over the past few weeks with a few incidences that have taken place.
