Fright on Franklin Costume Contest Registration Now Available

Clarksville, TN – Fright on Franklin, the City’s annual Halloween festival, will take place on Saturday, October 25th, in Downtown Clarksville from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
At this time, Clarksville Parks and Recreation is accepting costume contest registration at www.recpro.cityofclarksville.com. Space is limited and filling quickly.
Movies in the Park season concludes with ‘Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire’

Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the City’s free, outdoor movie series, concludes Saturday, September 27th, at Liberty Park, 1190 Cumberland Drive, Clarksville. ‘Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire,’ rated PG-13, and brought to you by Premier Medical will be shown at approximately 7:00pm (dependent on sunset).
Activities begin at 6:00pm and include archery instruction and a kid-friendly variation of the Arena Games with Clarksville Parks and Recreation.

APSU is joined by 26 tenure-track faculty

Clarksville, TN – A total of 26 new tenure-track faculty members have become part of the Austin Peay State University community, beginning with the Fall 2014 semester.
Dr. Kadi Bliss, assistant professor of health and human performance, earned her Ph.D. in health education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a member of the American Association of Health Education and the Society of Public Health Education. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville, Miller Lite and Agero invites everyone to come out tonight, Friday, September 5th, to the 27th annual Riverfest Celebration at McGregor Park on the banks of the Cumberland River. Admission is free to this two day music and arts festival.
This year’s festival features local, regional and national entertainers and is a great event for the entire family. Tonight, nine bands will perform on two stages and are guaranteed to entertain and excite those in attendance.
