Austin Peay State University announces APSU Bass Tournament set for May 13th

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University has announced that the 24th annual APSU Governors Bass Tournament will be held Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing (Tennessee) State Park. Last season’s tourney drew nearly 200 boats.
More than $12,000 dollars in prize money will be awarded. Previously, the Top 25 places earned cash prizes but now only the Top 10 places will gain monetary awards, meaning greater cash payouts, respectively, for those positions.

City’s Independence Day Celebration takes place July 3rd

Clarksville, TN – City of Clarksville will celebrate our nation’s independence this year with the ninth annual Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 3rd, 2016 at Liberty Park. The event is free and open to the public.
Activities and music will begin at 6:00pm Seating is available throughout the park and the concerts will take place on the Great Lawn of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Concessions are for sale throughout the park.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Hosts Successful Red Carpet Community Tour Event

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board (IDB) hosted its sixth annual “Red Carpet Community Tour” for site selection and economic development consultants.
The event, scheduled around the Nashville-based CMT Awards Show, is an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain first-hand knowledge of the assets that Clarksville-Montgomery County and the surrounding area have to offer.

Buchanan, TN – On Saturday, May 14th, the 22nd annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament was held on Kentucky Lake. Boats launched from Paris Landing State Park at 6:00am. There were 187 boats competing for $12,000 in prize money.
Although the forecast was for a clear, sunny day, the start of the tournament was anything but. Clouds rolled in, the wind kicked up making for a cold morning with a lot of chop on the water. As the day went on, the clouds departed and the sunny weather promised presented itself.

Road and Boat Closures Announced for Tri Clarksville Triathlon

Clarksville, TN – This Saturday, on August 23rd, the inaugural Tri Clarksville Triathlon will be held at Liberty Park and Clarksville Marina. Road closures and boat ramp closures will be in place during the event.
