Clarksville Police Break Ground on Scenario House

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department broke ground today on a long awaited Scenario House. The Scenario House will enhance the training capabilities of the department by providing a realistic training environment.
The Scenario House became a reality through the economic support of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, Clarksville City Council, and the citizens of Clarksville.

Zumba with Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan on February 14th

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announces Design Review Task Force Members

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will host the first organizational meeting of the newly appointed Design Review Task Force on February 5th, 2013 at 3:00pm.
The public meeting will take place in the City Hall Conference Room on the fourth floor of City Hall. The Task Force’s goal is to review Clarksville’s design review committee structure and present recommendations to simplify and streamline the design approval process. [Read more]
Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan appoints Amie Wilson Director of Information Technology

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan has appointed Amie Wilson as the Director of the Information Technology Department for the City of Clarksville.
“I am very excited that Amie will be joining our team as the new IT Director. She is imminently qualified and has worked as a computer program developer, analyst and project manager for various projects in the IT field. I have every confidence that she will be a tremendous asset to the IT Department. APSU Student Newspaper The All State celebrates National Award, Best in Show distinction

Clarksville, TN – For the first time in the 80-plus-year history of The All State, the student newspaper of Austin Peay State University, a staff member was named among the best nationally at the annual Associated Collegiate Press conference held recently in Chicago.
Christy Walker, editorial cartoonist for The All State, was given a second-place individual award for her cartoon depicting Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan with religious items that accompanied an editorial about her private meetings with local religious officials. [Read more]

Clarksville Mayor McMillan receives Hank Thompson Award

Clarksville, TN – At the recent Greater Nashville Regional Council meeting, Mayor Kim McMillan was presented with The Hank Thompson Award.
The award was created in honor of R. J. “Hank” Thompson (former Sumner County Executive, Hendersonville Mayor and two-time Greater Nashville Regional Council President) and is presented to an outstanding individual in the region to recognize personal and political integrity.
