Alexis Goines’ Allstate Insurance becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green certified

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program celebrated its newest member organization on January 12th with a green ribbon cutting. Alexis Goines’ Allstate Insurance office is the 133rd organization in Montgomery County to become Green Certified.
Alexis Goines is an avid recycler at home and upon opening her Allstate office in 2017 she wanted to continue her sustainability practices at work.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park kicks off Saturday

Liberty Park Athletic Field remains the site Movies in the Park
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Movies in the Park presented by Kyrstin Frate with Keller Williams is back for a third time this summer.
“Pokemon: Detective Pikachu” will be shown on Saturday, August 15th, 2020 at the Liberty Park Athletic Field. Activities will begin at 5:30pm, followed by the movie at sunset, which is around 7:30pm.
The first 40 guests will receive a free Movies in the Park popcorn bucket and one free bucket of popcorn provided by Loaves & Fishes TN. The branded bucket will allow guests to receive a $1.00 discount on popcorn at future Movies in the Park events this year.
Northfield Eye Care becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – On Wednesday, July 22nd the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program held a green ribbon cutting to celebrate Northfield Eye Care joining the Program. The ribbon cutting was attended by Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, City of Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, Green Certification Program Board Members and Northfield Eye Care doctors and staff.
Northfield Eye Care, which opened in early 2020 and is a sister office to Sango Eye Care, is unique in that it obtained Green Certification while the office building was being constructed.

8th annual Green Certification Banquet to be held September 26th

Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County Green Certification Program will hold its 8th annual Green Certification Banquet on the evening of September 26th. The Banquet celebrates local organizations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to environmental stewardship in our community. This year’s theme is Sustainability in Education.
The Banquet will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. A social hour, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, will include recycling games with great prizes provided by local organizations.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Airport becomes Green Certified

Montgomery County, TN – On Thursday, August 1st, 2019, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Airport was honored as the latest Green Certified organization. A green ribbon cutting was held to celebrate the achievement and to welcome the Airport to the Green Certification Program.
The Airport is the 122nd organization to complete the Green Certification Program requirements. The green ribbon cutting was attended by Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, City of Clarksville Chief of Staff James Halford Jr., Green Certification Program Manager Carlye Sommers, and Green Certification Program Board Members Doug Jones (Montgomery County) and Haley Randell (APSU).
