7th annual Dancing til Dawn features a Roaring Good Time with Great Gatsby Themed Gala

The Dawn Stanfill FoundationClarksville, TN – Break out your dancing shoes and get ready for the 7th annual Dancing til Dawn gala on Saturday, August 8th, 2015. The annual event benefitting The Dawn Stanfill Foundation will begin at 8:00pm at F&M Bank’s Franklin Room in downtown Clarksville and will feature a Great Gatsby theme this year.

Dancing til Dawn is a night of dinner, dancing, and a silent auction with proceeds benefiting The Dawn Stanfill Foundation which aids Middle Tennessee children who are undergoing cancer treatments.

LEAP Announces 5K Run/Walk for Wellness and Scholarships

August 5, 2015

LEAP OrganizationClarksville, TN – The LEAP Organization will be conducting its 5K Run/Walk for Wellness and Scholarship fundraiser on Saturday, September 19th, 2015. This event will raise money for the 6th Annual 7 Points Scholarship Essay contest that is available to high school seniors enrolled in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) or Fort Campbell High Schools.

The race will start and finish near the Beachaven Winery located at 1100 Dunlap Lane. Registration starts at 8:30am and the race to begin at 9:30am rain or shine. The tax-deductive registration fee is $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for teens, and $5.00 for the kids 1 mile inflatable run.

CMCSS announces Two Appointments

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – Two Clarksville-Montgomery County School System administrative appointments have been announced. Roshae Harrison has been named assistant principal at Montgomery Central Elementary and Ptosha Maclin has been named assistant principal at Carmel Elementary.

CMCSS Makes Great Progress

July 30, 2015

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Education released district-level results from the 2015 Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP), which show strong gains in high school and significant gains in grades 3-8 math.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools have experienced improved achievement across almost every content and grade level, meeting 10 of 11 achievement targets.

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System has been named a District of Distinction by the editors of District Administration magazine for its Leadership Development.

In its July edition, District Administration magazine honored 30 school districts as Districts of Distinction. This is the third round of honorees in this national recognition program, which was launched last year.

CMCSS makes new Administrative Appointments

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County School System today announced two new administrative appointments.

Jaime Dye Holder, the theatre arts teacher at Northwest High School, has been selected as the assistant principal at Kenwood Middle School.

Linda Medina-Griffy, assistant principal at Montgomery Central Elementary School, will become the assistant principal at Minglewood Elementary School.

Clarksville Montgomery County School System announces Administrators

June 24, 2015

Clarksville-Montgomery County School System - CMCSSMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery School System (CMCSS) has filled two administrative positions.

Dr. Mason Bellamy has been named Director of Elementary Schools, replacing Dr. Ann Griffin who retired this month. Dr. Bellamy most recently served as Director of Services for Exceptional Children and served as interim principal at Kenwood Middle School. Dr. Bellamy is the former principal of Hazelwood Elementary, which was recognized by the state of Tennessee last year as a Reward School for growth and achievement.
