Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of November.

On November 10th, the Chamber will be hosting the 20th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast at the Austin Peay State University Morgan Center. The morning will begin with a buffet style breakfast at 7:30am followed by a salute to our veterans and then will conclude with COL Andrew P. Poppas, Deputy Commander (Operations), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), serving as the keynote speaker.

Judy Morgan’s ‘Artful Expressions’ on Display at Planters-Hilldale Gallery in November

Planters BankClarksville, TN – Judy Morgan always loved creating art – even from an early age. But it wasn’t until she retired from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System that she finally had time to devote to painting.

The Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery will feature Morgan’s work November 1st-December 5th in an exhibit titled, “Artful Expressions.” The exhibit will include 12 watercolor and mixed media pieces.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Facilities’ Hours to Change in Observance of November Holidays

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s three community centers will adjust their hours of operation this November to accommodate students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and their holiday schedule.

The Kleeman, Crow and Burt-Cobb Centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm Tuesday, November 6th and Monday, November 12th as students will be out of school for Election Day and Veterans Day. [Read more]

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Facility Hours Change for Fall Break Fun

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s three community centers and Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence will adjust their hours of operation for CMCSS Fall Break. From October 8th-12th, all three community centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm.

The Indoor Aquatic Center will remain open from 7:00am to 8:00pm. All facilities will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, October 13th. [Read more]

Clarksville Montgomery County School System receives $2.5 million DoDEA Grant for STEM

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System will receive a $2.5 million award under the 2012 Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) grant for enhancement of its Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs.

The grant, to be administered over three years, comes through DoDEA’s Military-Connected Local Educational Agencies for Academic and Support Programs (MCASP) Projects. [Read more]
