Open Enrollment for the 2018-19 school year is available in CMCSS now through February 20th, 2018

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System has announced that specific grade levels in nine elementary schools and three middle schools are available for open enrollment for the 2017-18 school year now through February 20th, 2018.

The School System has developed a limited open enrollment policy for students who wish to attend a school or program outside the area for which they are zoned.

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System says research shows that if a parent or adult spends 20 minutes a day reading to a child, that child scores 90% better than their peers on reading tests. It exposes them to 1.8 million words a year.

U.S. Army launches JROTC Robotics Program at Kenwood High School

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, October 26th, 2017 the U.S. Army launched its JROTC Robotics Program at Kenwood High School. Four CMCSS high school robotics programs will be in place: Kenwood High School, Northeast High School, West Creek High School, with Rossview High School and Northwest High School combined.

8 CMCSS Schools Labeled ‘Reward’ Schools

Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS)Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System continues to see academic success for its students. The State Department of Education today recognized nine CMCSS schools as “Reward Schools” for exceptional gains made in academic growth or achievement.

The state currently is labeling the system’s designation as “pending” while it reverifies CMCSS data. The designation likely will be made in December. CMCSS is one of five school districts in the state that the Department is reverifying.
