Clarksville Parks and Recreation staff activates a healthier workplace

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – In true “walk the talk” fashion, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is demonstrating the city’s commitment to building a healthier and more successful community.

The Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness recently named the department a Healthier Tennessee Workplace for encouraging employees to live a healthy lifestyle – both at work and at home.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation staff members walk the Upland Trail as part of the department’s fitness challenge. The daily walks and other programs helped the department earn commendation as the state’s first Healthier Tennessee Workplace.

“Fresh Research, New Discoveries” Coming to Fort Defiance

It’s time to get ready for Riverfest Regatta

Clarksville's Riverfest CelebrationClarksville, TN – Join us for the Tenth Annual Riverfest Regatta, presented by US Bank, as part of the Riverfest celebration at McGregor Park on Saturday, September 10th. Participants can enter as an individual or as a team for a chance to win awards!

This boat race is not like any ordinary boat race. Participants will compete in their boats made of cardboard, plastic bottles, or a few other approved materials. There will be several divisions all racing down the 100-yard long course on the Cumberland River.
