Registration begins today, Monday, January 25th, 2016 with an organizational meeting scheduled for 3:00pm on Saturday, January 30th at the Burt-Cobb Community Center.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation partners with APSU Fraternity and Sorority Affairs to offer free after-school tutoring program

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation and APSU Fraternity and Sorority Affairs have joined forces to provide a free after-school tutoring program for youth in the Clarksville community.
The new program, Each One Teach One, is held on Mondays at the Burt-Cobb Community Center from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

Fort Defiance Interpretive Center to commemorate the 154th Anniversary of the Surrender of Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – Fort Defiance Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street, will host a living history event to commemorate the 154th anniversary of the Surrender of Clarksville on Saturday, February 6th from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville’s 4th Annual Chocolate Affair is a festive occasion that provides an opportunity for chocolate-lovers to sample products and enjoy a fun social event.
The event will be held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center located at 1190 Cumberland Drive on Saturday, February 6th, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation now accepting Lifeguard applications the New Year

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for lifeguard positions for the 2016 summer swimming season.
To become a lifeguard, participants must be at least 15 years of age and able to swim 300 yards continuously, tread water for two minutes without the use of arms or hands and successfully complete a timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
