This weeks highlights include: Meet Davy Crockett, Homeschool Swim Day, Spring Family Campout, Movies in the Park, and Zumba.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s 10th season of Movies in the Park begins May 2nd

Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the City’s free, outdoor movie series, will celebrate its 10th season as it kicks off, Saturday, May 2nd, with a showing of Pitch Perfect (PG-13)!
The season begins with the first five showings at Heritage Park, located at 1241 Peachers Mill Road, and will continue with the last six showings at Liberty Park, located at 1188 Cumberland Drive.
Vendor application deadline approaches for the 2015 Clarksville Downtown Market

Clarksville, TN – Do you want to sell your homegrown or homemade items this summer? Clarksville Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for 2015 Downtown Market vendors- but time is running out!
Applications are available online at www.cityofclarksville.com/downtownmarket and must be submitted no later than April 3rd. Potential vendors may complete the form online or download a printable version to be submitted to 102 Public Square. Any applications submitted later than April 3rd will not be considered for the 2015 market.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s 50+ Olympics registration going on now

Clarksville, TN – Adults at least 50-years-old can register now through Monday, May 4th for Clarksville’s 50-Plus Olympics.
This year’s events will be held May 12th-16th at various locations around Clarksville, to include the Pinnacle Bowling Center, Swan Lake Sports Complex, D&D Blacklight Mini Golf, Rossview High School track, and the Crow & Kleeman Community Centers.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Wettest Egg Hunts huge smash with the Community

Clarksville, TN – It might have been cold outside, but inside the Indoor Aquatic Center it was warm and festive Saturday, March 28th for Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s 4th annual Wettest Egg Hunts.
There were thousands of colored eggs scattered in the swimming pool and wading pool for children to jump in and get for candy and prizes.
City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department gears up for annual Spring Eggstravaganza

Clarksville, TN – The annual Spring Eggstravanganza has been scheduled for April 4th at Heritage Park Sports Complex, located at 1241 Peachers Mill Road.
The fun kicks off at 1:00pm with free activities for children followed by the hunting of over 20,000 candy and prize-filled eggs.

Potential lifeguards can train for certification with new Lifeguard Preparatory program
Clarksville, TN – Interested in becoming a lifeguard this summer, but want some extra preparation for the swim test?
There will be a Summer Lifeguard Try-out Camp to help you reach your goal.
This camp will begin on March 30th, 2015 and run through April 3rd, 2015.
