Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Indoor Aquatic Center to host New Year’s Eve Bash

Clarksville, TN – Cheers to a splashing new year! Visit the Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence this New Year’s Eve for the 3rd annual New Year’s Eve Splash!
The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a New Year’s Eve pool party beginning at 8:30pm Wednesday, December 31st and ending at 12:30am on Thursday, January 1st, 2015. [Read more]
Clarksville’s Kleeman Community Center to host spring cycle of its popular fitness class

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center will continue its Fun Interval Training program in 2015. F.I.T.’s second session ends on January 15th, but will start back up for a third round on January 26th, continuing through March 26th at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
The class will meet Monday through Friday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Each day of the week focuses on a different muscle group and cardio activity to get your blood pumping and burn those calories! [Read more]

Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville takes part in Giving on the Cumberland

Clarksville, TN – Are you looking for a way to give back this season? Junior Auxiliary of Clarksville is part of the “Giving on the Cumberland” event taking place during Christmas on the Cumberland at McGregor Park.
Those visiting the Christmas on the Cumberland light displays may swing by the McGregor Park Museum and take an ornament from Junior Auxiliary’s Christmas tree. Ornaments on the Junior Auxiliary tree list items that will help fill the Healthy Kids Kits that the ladies of Junior Auxiliary provide to 100 students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. 55th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade set for tomorrow, December 6th, 2014 in Downtown Clarksville

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Wins Award for its Clarksville Sports Festival

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department received a Four Star Award at the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association (TRPA) at this year’s state convention held in Nashville, Tennessee.
Founded in 1952, the TRPA is a professional society of more than 1,200 individual and agency members interested in the recreation and parks movement in Tennessee.

Visit with Santa and enjoy free activities at Christmas on the Cumberland

Clarksville, TN – Children of all ages are encouraged to come to Christmas on the Cumberland for fun, family-friendly activities.
Christmas on the Cumberland is open nightly from 5:00pm to 10:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and 5:00pm to 11:00pm Fridays and Saturdays through January 3rd, 2015. Admission to the event is free.
