Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosts the next Cumberland Arts Experience at the Kleeman Center

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is offering another session of the program, the Cumberland Arts Experience, at the Kleeman Community Center located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation Facility Hours to Change for CMCSS Fall Break

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Crow Community Center, Burt-Cobb Community Center, Kleeman Community Center and Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence will adjust their hours of operation for the Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) Fall Break.
From October 14th-18th, all three community centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm Monday-Thursday, and 10:00am to 6:00pm Friday. The Indoor Aquatic Center will remain open from 6:30am to 8:00pm. All facilities will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, October 19th. [Read more]
Crow Community Center Resuming Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Tai Chi program

Clarksville, TN – The Crow Community Center, located at 211 Richview Road, will resume sessions of Tai Chi for Arthritis, beginning October 15th! Tai Chi for Arthritis will take place every Wednesday, 4:00pm to 5:00pm, from October 15th through November 26th.
Instructed by Stuart Bonnington, this program is open to adults of any age who may be suffering from arthritis. Bonnington is certified by the Arthritis Foundation as an instructor of their Tai Chi for Arthritis program. [Read more]

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Walk with Me Tennessee Program is off to a great start

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department kicked off the Walk with me Tennessee program at the Clarksville Greenway on Tuesday with a group walk with the Mayor!
The Walk with Me Tennessee walking program challenges Clarksvillians to walk across the state using a series of challenges featuring trails in Clarksville as well as “virtual trails” in other Walk with Me Tennessee pilot communities such as Athens and Sevierville.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation gives Billy Dunlop Park a facelift

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 28th, 2013 the City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation partnered with Freudenberg Filtration Technologies of Hopkinsville, Kentucky to complete a Company Service Project at Billy Dunlop Park.
The project consisted of replacing the gravel that covers the playground with a softer wood mulch, clearing out brush near the walking bridge and painting a fence.
Clarksville’s Indoor Aquatic Center opens for the season today

The Indoor Aquatic Center opened its doors for the Indoor Season today, October 1st. Enjoy a day of free admission, refreshments and free Wibit and Aqua Climb access on Opening Day from 6:30am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm until 8:00pm.

The first Discover SCUBA class of the indoor season will take place on Saturday, October 5th at the Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, just behind the Kleeman Community Center.
