Clarksville, TN – Celebrate local filmmakers with Clarksville Parks and Recreation and the Roxy Regional Theatre at a public screening from 5:00pm-7:00pm Saturday, March 9th, 2019 as part of the Clarksville Film Festival.
Earlier this month, 11 teams were given 52 hours to script, shoot and produce a 4-7 minute film using predetermined lines and props.

Clarksville, TN – Free tree seedlings will be offered by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Friday, March 1st at the Smith Trahern Mansion in celebration of Arbor Day.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Arbor Day Foundation and designation as a Tree City USA, coupled with local support, seedlings of 10 species will be given away.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation held annual Chocolate Affair event, Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosted its annual Chocolate Affair at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center on Saturday, February 2nd where 600 local fans of the cacao bean indulged in the ongoing chocolate love-affair that mankind began thousands of years ago.
Kara Zahn of Clarksville Parks and Recreation was once again in charge of the popular event.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with Golly G’s for a Candyland-themed evening of fun at the seventh annual Father-Daughter Date Night.
Dads and daughters are invited to the Wilma Rudolph Event Center from 5:30pm–8:30pm on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 to enjoy dinner followed by Golly G’s Ice cream for dessert, a cookie decorating craft, photo booth and dancing.

Clarksville, TN – In an effort to make getting active with Clarksville Parks and Recreation even easier, the department has launched a new, user-friendly online registration application, powered by CivicRec.
Users are able to use this new portal when registering for programs offered through the Activity Guide and view a searchable catalog of Clarksville Parks and Recreation programs and events.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Downtown Market is accepting vendor applications for its 2019 season. Since opening in 2009, the Downtown Market each year has been voted the American Farmland Trust’s “People’s Choice” winner as the best farmers’ market in Tennessee.
The 2019 market season will be 8:00am to 1:00pm Saturdays from May 25th to October 12th in downtown Clarksville on Public Square.
The fee for a full-time vendor, selling at all 20 market days, is $225.00 or $700.00 for food trucks. The fee for part-time vendors, selling at 10 market days, is $175.00. Fill-in vendors pay $25.00 per market day or $45.00 for food trucks. All vendor spaces include one white 10-by-10 feet tent, one table, one chair and access to electricity.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation celebrates Clarksville BCycle third year

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will celebrate the third anniversary of Clarksville’s popular bike share program, Clarksville BCycle, with free bike rides. Third-year milestones include 9,600 trips that covered almost 65,000 miles and allowed riders to burn 2.5 million calories.
Residents are invited to use the promo code “1320” when checking out a bike from one of Clarksville BCycle’s five stations from January 13th-20th to receive a free 60-minute bike ride. Usage fees apply after the first hour.
