2nd annual Zombie Run a real blast

Clarksville, TN – Eric Yow and his team from Clarksville Zombie Hunters hosted its Second annual Zombie Run at Liberty Park on Saturday, October 28th, 2017, which this year evolved into a Zombie Chase Race.
“This is our 4th year in business,” Yow said. “We started in 2014 on a relatively small scale, and it has just exploded. Now, we have eight attractions at one location, like the zombie paint ball hay ride, which takes you through zombie infested woods. There is a turret-mounted paint ball gun, and you can literally shoot zombies in the face.”
Clarksville Parks and Recreation holds 2nd annual Super Hero Party at Burt Cobb Community Center

Clarksville, TN – More than 90 kids showed up for the 2nd annual Super Hero Party at Burt Cobb Community Center on Thursday, October 26th, 2017.
Laconza Gilliam is the center’s recreation manager. She took a moment to talk about this and other activities at the center.
“This is our second year, and it will be an annual thing for us,” Gilliam said. “We call this our Super Hero Party, and we chose to do it during the week because there is so much competition on the actual day of Halloween, and the weekend prior.”
Fright on Franklin has Large Turnout in Chilly Weather

Clarksville, TN – Ghouls and goblins took over Downtown Clarksville Saturday during Fright on Franklin. Despite the cold, hundreds filled the streets to take part in safe trick or treating and Halloween fun.
More than 70 local organizations and businesses took part providing candy and treats for those in attendance.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation recently sent out a call to all local swim fans with a sense of adventure, the announcement of its annual Haunted Swim at New Providence Swimming Pool on Saturday, October 21st, 2017.
“When the daylight leaves, the ghouls and goblins will come out for a haunted evening swim,” the message read. “There will be frightful lifeguards, swimming, music and a light show.”
Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Floating Pumpkin Patch a hit with the Community

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation held its annual Floating Pumpkin Patch at New Providence Swimming Pool Saturday, October 21st, 2017.
They advertise the event with a question, “Tired of searching those dusty fields for your perfect pumpkin?” The event offers kids a chance to hunt for their pumpkin as it floats in a pool. Then, once they have found “the one”, they can go over to the decorating table and customize it with their unique finishing touches.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation has partnered with Altra Federal Credit Union for this year’s Fright on Franklin event from 3:00pm-6:00pm Saturday, October 28th, 2017 in downtown Clarksville.
Fright on Franklin is a free, family-friendly event featuring safe trick-or-treating, a hayride, costume contests, and more in historic downtown Clarksville. Follow the screams (of delight) to an afternoon of frighteningly fun Halloween-themed activities.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and SERVPRO of Montgomery County Fire & Water Cleanup & Restoration Company hosted Clarksville’s first-ever BBQ Bash on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at Liberty Park.
The BBQ Bash included a full barbecue competition and cornhole tournament.
