Clarksville Parks and Recreation is going to the dogs once again for the fifth annual Pooch Pool Party Saturday, August 15th, 2015 at Swan Lake Pool from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
Clarksville Sports Festival Offers Free Day of Sports and Athletics this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will be hosting its fifth-annual Clarksville Sports Festival from 10:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday, August 15th, at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center located within Liberty Park at 1188 Cumberland Drive, with a variety of sports, athletic and outdoor activities for the entire family.
Space remains in Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Fly Fishing program for youth and teens!

Clarksville, TN – Do you like fishing? Are you interested in aquatic environments? Clarksville Parks and Recreation has once again teamed up with the National Fishing in Schools Program to offer a class in basic fly fishing!
Class will be held at the Crow Community Center on Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, September 3rd through September 24th, and is open to grades 6-12.

Clarskville Parks and Recreation’s Tai Chi for Arthritis will be starting again soon

Clarksville, TN – Another session of Tai Chi will begin on August 11th at the Crow Community Center, located at 211 Richview Road. There are a total of 8 one-hour long sessions included in the program. Tai Chi will take place on Tuesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, August 11th through September 29th.
Tai Chi involves stretching and different chair exercises. Improved balance, increased flexibility, and reduced stress are benefits you can receive from participating. [Read more]
Last Concert of Summer Liberty Live Series August 7th

Clarksville, TN – The Liberty Live summer concert series returns for the final concert of the series at Liberty Park on Friday, August 7th! The last concert in the series will feature the alternative rock group, Darling Parade.
Admission is free but concessions will be available for purchase. The show is set to begin at 6:30pm at Liberty Park.

Clarksville, TN – If you are searching for a way to relax, VIVID’s visual healing arts program could be just what you’re looking for, and Clarksville Parks and Recreation wants to let you try it for free!
Those 50 and older can test the program for free at 10:30am on Monday, August 3rd while ages 16 and older are invited to try their hand at VIVID at 6:00pm on Tuesday, August 4th. Both classes will take place at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
