The Book of Life (PG) tells the story of a young man, Manolo, who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. He embarks on an adventure that spans three fantastic worlds where he must face his greatest fears. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy this animated film with the whole family!
It’s time to get ready for the Riverfest Regatta

Clarksville, TN – Join us for the Ninth Annual Riverfest Regatta part of the, Riverfest celebration at McGregor Park, on Saturday, September 12th. Participants can enter as an individual or as a team for a chance to win awards!
This boat race is not like any ordinary boat race. Participants will compete in their boats made of cardboard, plastic bottles, or a few other approved materials. There will be several divisions all racing down the 100-yard long course on the Cumberland River.

Riverfest Art Experience seeks entries

Do you have a friend or family member who would be interested? Help us spread the word! The Riverfest Art Experience is looking for entries for 2015!
The Riverfest Art Experience, featuring both a Juried Art Show (formerly known as Tour d’Art) and a Film Festival, will kick-off Riverfest on Thursday, September 10th with a public art show. The show will begin at 5:00pm at Liberty Park and will include art and films from local talent, food trucks, beer and prizes.

Clarksville Downtown Market to close early Saturday due to heat

Clarksville, TN – Due to the forecasted extreme heat and humidity, the Clarksville Downtown Market will close at noon on Saturday, July 25th.
Customers are also advised to leave their dogs at home. Asphalt gets very hot and can burn your pet’s paws.
The Clarksville Downtown Market is open every Saturday beginning at 8:00am on Public Square.
There are several ways to stay informed on what’s “fresh” each Saturday at the Market.
Last Concert of Summer Liberty Live Series August 7th

Clarksville, TN – The Liberty Live summer concert series returns for the final concert of the series at Liberty Park on Friday, August 7th! The last concert in the series will feature the alternative rock group, Darling Parade.
Admission is free but concessions will be available for purchase. The show is set to begin at 6:30pm at Liberty Park.
Section of Clarksville Greenway to Close for Electrical Maintenance Beginning Monday

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Department of Electricity will be conducting electrical line maintenance on a section of the Clarksville Greenway beginning Monday, July 27th, 2015 through Wednesday, July 29th, 2015.
The partial closure will include the trail to the right of the Pollard Road trail head. The trail to the left of the Pollard Road trail head will remain open to the public.

Registration deadline extended for Clarksville’s Wonder Kids Triathlon

Clarksville, TN – If you have haven’t registered your child for the 3rd Annual Wonder Kids Triathlon, there is still time! Clarksville Parks & Recreation has extended the registration deadline to July 27th, 2015. This event is open to boys and girls ages 3-12 years-old and will take place at New Providence Pool and surrounding area of 166 Cunningham Lane on Saturday, August 1st, 2015.
Just like in a traditional triathlon, the Wonder Kids Triathlon athletes will participate in three legs of the event: swimming, biking and running.
“Nashville” star Charles Esten to headline Riverfest

Clarksville, TN – Riverfest, presented by the City of Clarksville and Miller Lite, is pleased to announce Charles Esten of television’s hit series “Nashville” will be the featured headliner at the 2015 Festival. Charles Esten will take the main stage as the headlining event on Saturday, September 12th, 2015 at 9:00pm. The concert is free and open to the public.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Charles “Chip” Esten was raised in Alexandria, VA and attended T.C. Williams High School, made famous in the film “Remember the Titans.”
