This weeks highlights include: Winter Gym is coming to a Close, Adult Softball Leagues, Youth Archery at the Crow Center, Martial Arts, Queen City Road Race and Get in shape at the Kleeman Center.
Indoor Aquatic Center’s March Homeschool Swim Day is coming soon

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s new event for homeschooled children at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, is typically held on the second Wednesday of each month.
However, due to CMCSS Spring Break, the March edition of Homeschool Swim Days will be held from 10:00am to noon on Wednesday, March 18th.
Summer Workers Needed- Now Hiring Lifeguards and Cashiers

Clarksville, TN – In need of a summer job? The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is now hiring for part-time lifeguards and cashiers.
To become a lifeguard, participants must be at least 15 years of age and able to swim 300 yards continuously, tread water for two minutes without the use of arms or hands and successfully complete a timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds. [Read more]
City of Clarksville and Montgomery County to take part in 50k Tree Day March 14th

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County are partnering with the Tennessee Environmental Council, Tennessee Department of Agriculture-Division of Forestry, Tennessee Stormwater Association, Cumberland River Compact to take part in the 50K Tree Day event on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00am to 11:00am.

City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department gears up for annual Spring Eggstravaganza

Clarksville, TN – The annual Spring Eggstravanganza has been scheduled for April 4th at Heritage Park Sports Complex. The fun kicks off at 1:00pm with free activities for children followed by the hunting of over 20,000 candy and prize-filled eggs.
Kids can enjoy inflatables, face painting, games and fun activities, and visit with the Easter Bunny! Parents don’t forget your cameras!
Indoor Aquatic Center to host third annual “Wettest Egg Hunts”

Clarksville, TN – The Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, will once again host a not-so-typical egg hunt.
On Saturday, March 28th, thousands of colored eggs will be floating or sunk in the center’s pools, each good for candy and prizes. An adaptive egg hunt will be offered for children and adults with special needs at 11:00am with the remaining hunts for children ages 1 to 11 following from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.

Space remains in Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Fly Fishing program for youth and teens

Clarksville, TN – Do you like fishing? Are you interested in aquatic environments? Clarksville Parks and Recreation has once again teamed up with the National Fishing in Schools Program to offer a class in basic fly fishing!
Class will be held at the Crow Community Center on Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, March 5th through March 26th, and is open to grades 6-12.
