Clarksville Citizens Police Academy Alumni to host Pancake Breakfast July 28th

Clarksville, TN – The Citizens Police Academy Alumni will host a Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. on July 28th from 7:30am to 9:30am. Tickets are $5.00 for pancakes, sausage, and drink.
Please come out and help us raise money for the New Bicycle Patrol, that allows Officers to patrol on a more intimate level.

Clarksville Police Department adds Six New Officers today

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is happy to welcome six new officers to their ranks today. Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan administered the Oath of Office to the Police Department’s newest additions.
They will attend the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy from May 27th – August 3rd, 2012.

National Police Week 2012: Honoring and Remembering our Fallen Law Enforcement Officers

Clarksville, TN – In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726 that set aside May 15th as National Peace Officers’ Memorial Day and the week in which May 15th falls as National Police Week. This year, National Police Week will run from Sunday, May 13th through Saturday, May 19th.
The law was later amended by the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1995, Public Law 103-322 signed by President Bill Clinton, directing that the flag of the United States be displayed at half-staff on all government buildings on May 15th each year as a tribute to law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. Clarksville Police Department to hold their 4th Annual Youth Coalition Olympics

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department will be holding their 4th Annual Youth Coalition Olympics June 2nd through June 22nd, 2012. All area youths ages 12-17 are invited to participate.

Clarksville Police Department to hold Student Traffic Awareness Training Classes for Teens

Clarksville, TN – Student Traffic Awareness Training Classes (S.T.A.T.) for high school students between the ages of 15 and 19 will be held May 5th, August 18th and October 20th, 2012. The classes are free.
The Classes will be held at the Grace Nazarene Church located at 3135 Trenton Road, Clarksville, Tennessee. Classes are from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
Shogun Restaurant own donates $1,000 to the Clarksville Police Department’s Youth Coalition Program

Clarksville, TN – Deok Kwon Nam, owner of Shogun Restaurant, presented the Clarksville Police Department a personal donation in the amount of $1,000 for the Clarksville Police Department’s Youth Coalition.
The CPD Youth Coalition is a unique program which works with “at risk” juvenile offenders.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s “Spring Eggstravanganza” easter egg hunt was held Saturday

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s Department of Parks and Recreation held their annual Spring Eggstravanganza easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 7th on the Heritage Park Baseball Fields. The turn out was overwhelming, and so the Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation staff are planning to make adjustments to the event next year. Thousands of families showed up to enjoy the absolutely wonderful afternoon.
Clarksville Police Deputy Chief Frankie Gray Graduates from the FBI National Academy

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Deputy Chief Frankie Gray graduated from the 248th Session of prestigious FBI National Academy on March 19th, 2012, after 10 weeks of intensive academic and physical training.
Only three percent of law enforcement, worldwide, is selected to attend the FBI National Academy.

Clarksville, TN – the Clarksville Police Department once again demonstrated the quality of officers they hire. Two officers, Adam Post and Jordan Parnell graduated from the Tennessee Law Enforcement class, March 16th, 2012.
Officer Jordan Parnell was recognized with multiple honors at the Academy Graduation. He was awarded the prestigious John R. Cunningham Award for Outstanding Officer for top overall score for academic and practical skills application and also received the award for Highest Academic Score.
