City of Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department lines up activities for annual egg hunt

Clarksville, TN – The annual Spring Eggstravanganza will be back on April 23rd at Heritage Park Baseball Fields. The fun begins at 2:00pm with kids in four age groups hunting more than 30,000 eggs, hoping to find the one golden egg. The special egg entitles the finder to a free week session of swim lessons at one of Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s pools. Clarksville Parks and Recreation kicks off Youth Recreation League registration

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will kick off Youth Recreation League registration February 7th, 2011, that will continue through April 1st, 2011. Youth League has added a 13-14 division and is now open to children ages 5-14.
Youth League also includes a BlastBall League for children ages 3-4. BlastBall teaches toddlers the fundamentals of baseball and softball using a fun, honking base! [Read more]

New session of Zumba to start at the Crow Center

Clarksville, TN – A new session of Zumba fitness classes will begin at the Crow Community Center January 12th. The 6-week class session will be held on Wednesdays 5:30pm–6:30 pm and on Fridays 5:00pm-6:00pm. Cost is $3.00 per class or $30.00 for the entire 6-week session.

Community Centers’ Hours to Change for Fall Break

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville’s three community centers will adjust their hours of operation for CMCSS Fall Break. From October 11th-15th, the community centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Nothing to do this Fall Break? Head over to any of our three community centers for some FUN! Crow Community Center located at 211 Richview Road will begin offering two archery classes for youth grades 4-12. A beginner class will be held from 4:00pm-5:00pm and an advanced class will be from 5:00pm-6:00pm. The four week session will begin October 7th and the cost is $10.00 per student. [Read more]

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has worked towards a new focus on Senior Citizen only activities at Kleeman Community Center. List below are Senior Citizen activities happening at Burt-Cobb, Kleeman and Crow Community Centers. Mark your calendars and spread the word. These events are for people who are 55 and older.
