Customs House Museum and Cultural Center announces Newly Renovated Explorers Landing Children’s Area to Reopen January 29th

Customs House Museum & Cultural CenterClarksville, TN – Explorers Landing has been a popular feature of the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center for more than 25 years. In October of 2020, the Museum announced a generous donation from the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville in order to renovate the beloved space.

Fast forward 15 months and the newly renovated space will open for the first time to Museum visitors on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 since its closure in November 2021.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department announces Caleb Cares Swim League kicks off at New Providence Pool

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host the Caleb Cares Swim League at New Providence Pool beginning March 19th, 2022, with a swim assessment. The league is sponsored by the Caleb Cares Project.

“The Caleb Cares Swim League is a fun way for children of all ages to get involved with the sport of swimming,” said Kimberly Gilbert, Aquatic Superintendent for Clarksville Parks and Recreation. “All skill levels are accepted. We just ask that each participant must be able to swim at least 25 meters without assistance.”

Roxy Regional Theatre brings “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” to the stage, January 21st – February 5th

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, and more through clever, catchy tunes are lighting up the stage of Clarksville’s oldest professional theatre, the Roxy Regional Theatre, this month.

The pop culture phenomenon “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” opens at the Roxy Regional Theatre on Friday, January 21st, at 8:00pm.  In keeping with the theatre’s pay-what-you-can opening night tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

Chocolate Affair returns to traditional format

Chocolate AffairClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host its popular Chocolate Affair event on Saturday, February 5th, 2022, at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. A limited number of tickets are still available.

The Chocolate Affair is an annual event that takes place on the first Saturday in February. Local businesses and caterers provide bite-sized sweet and savory samples of foods that include chocolate in some form or fashion. Awards are presented to vendors for Best Taste, Best Presentation, and Most Creative Use of Chocolate.
