F2Con Gaming Convention Kicks Off Weekend of High-Stakes Competition and Casual Fun in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – F2CON, Clarksville’s highly anticipated annual gaming convention, opened its doors on Friday night at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, kicking off a weekend packed with competitive and casual gaming. For the first time in the event’s history, the convention began on a Friday evening at 7:00pm, drawing hundreds of gamers and spectators from across the region.
Hosted by CDE Lightband and Visit Clarksville, F2CON, which began in 2018, has quickly grown into a staple event for the local gaming community. This year’s convention features an impressive $10,000 total prize pool, drawing competitive gamers from across the country. Registration for the competitive tournaments is set at $50.00, with an additional $5.00 fee per game. Casual gamers can enjoy the weekend for a flat rate of $15.00.
Clarksville to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Festival on September 15th

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Hispanic American Family Foundation will host the 4th Annual Hispanic Heritage Clarksville Festival on Sunday, September 15th, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. This vibrant celebration of Hispanic culture is a free event open to all ages, offering the community a day filled with music, dancing, food, and crafts.
Since its launch in 2021, the Hispanic Heritage Clarksville Festival has become a key event for showcasing the rich diversity of Latin American cultures. From lively music and traditional dances to delicious culinary offerings, the festival serves as a platform for honoring Hispanic heritage and building cultural awareness. APSU announces Science on Tap slate for Fall 2024

Clarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) has announced a three-date Science on Tap slate for Fall 2024.
Science on Tap features College of STEM faculty — and for the first time this year, a distinguished guest in News Channel 5 meteorologist Henry Rothenberg — presenting fascinating topics to the community.
Attendees have the opportunity to learn from experts in their field, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and enjoy delicious local brews and food at Strawberry Alley Ale Works. It’s a free event for all ages, offering an engaging platform for researchers, faculty, and science enthusiasts to share their passion and knowledge with the public.

Clarksville, TN – Historic Collinsville in rural Montgomery County has announced its special “Second Saturday” event for the month of September. Storytelling By Day & By Night will be held on Saturday, September 14th, and will take place in two parts – from 10:00am to 4:00pm and 6:45pm to 8:30pm.
From 10:00am to 4:00pm guests can visit storytelling stations throughout the pioneer settlement during their self-guided tour. Local storytellers and authors have been invited to share true stories from Montgomery County’s past, bringing history to life from the 19th century.

With its high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, this musical inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl is sure to thrill and delight children and adults alike. Tickets are going quickly for this weekend and are very limited for some performances, so don’t delay in making your reservations!
