Book Sale Continues Through Halloween
Clarksville, TN – The Friends of the Library Fall Book sale will open Thursday the 29th at 4:00pm with the Friends-only preview until 7:00 pm that evening. Anyone may join the Friends at the door for as little as $5.00.
Thousands of used books from fiction to a myriad of non-fiction subjects to children’s books will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the book sale go to support the public library. The sale continues for the general public on Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and on Saturday (Halloween) from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Idealistic young scientist Dr. Henry Jekyll creates a mixture he hopes will eliminate human evil. In doing so, however, he unleashes the dark forces within, creating the hideous and murderous Mr. Hyde.

APSU’s Halloween concert returns for 30th year on October 30th

Clarksville, TN – In July, the phone started ringing in Austin Peay State University’s Department of Music office, with callers interested in buying tickets for an upcoming concert.
They were a bit early, since the department’s annual Halloween Percussion Concert was still a good three months away, but the callers knew that for 30 years, the wildly entertaining event usually sold out, so there was nothing wrong with being a little premature.
Fright on Franklin Street was a hauntingly good time

Clarksville, TN – The 3rd Annual Fright on Franklin was held on Saturday October 29th. Several Thousand families packed Historic Downtown Clarksville for Fright on Franklin which provides safe trick-or-treating opportunities for Clarksville residents.
“It’s wonderful, this is one of the best things that we do in the city of Clarksville all year round,” said Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan. “There are thousands of children out here having fun, getting candy, in a wonderful atmosphere where it is safe; and I think the parents are liking it too!”

Clarksville, TN – Fright on Franklin, the City’s annual Halloween festival, will take place on today, October 25th, 2014 in Downtown Clarksville from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Fright on Franklin will feature 70 trick-or-treat booths, costume contests, a haunted house, a hayride and food vendors!
