Clarksville’s 2014 Movies in the Park season kicks off May 10th

Clarksville, TN – Movies in the Park, the City’s free, outdoor movie series, will kick off its ninth season, Saturday, May 10th, at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville.
Movies begin at dusk and admission is free. Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs, as well as your appetite, since food vendors will be on-site.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s annual Spring Eggstravanganza April 19th

Clarksville, TN – Join the Clarksville Parks and Recreation department at this year’s Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 19th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Heritage Park Ballfields.
Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of games, face painting, inflatables, and the hunting of over 20,000 eggs. The first age group egg hunt begins at 2:15pm sharp.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation has begun Spring Softball registration

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is currently registering teams for the spring and summer Recreation Leagues.
Teams in the Spring Adult Leagues may now begin registering. This league is open to men and women ages 18 and older.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park to give free showing of “Les Miserables” this Saturday

Clarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation this Saturday, August 17th, at Liberty Park for this week’s Movies in the Park event, featuring the Oscar winning movie, “Les Miserables,” which is rated PG-13.
Les Miserables takes place in 19th century France where Jean Valjean breaks parole and is hunted by policeman Javert. Later he agrees to take care of factory worker Fantine’s daughter, Cosette. That decision changes their lives forever.
