Wounded Warriors rehabilitate with SCUBA at the Indoor Aquatic Center

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosted the Warrior Transition Unit’s Wounded Warriors on Wednesday, April 17th at the Indoor Aquatic Center located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
Wounded Warriors participated in a private SCUBA class instructed by Rich Holladay of Waterdogs SCUBA & Safety, LLC.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Kleeman Community Center offers positive alternative to teens

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, offers a positive alternative to teens in the community with the Teen Challenge Recreation and Education Program.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is offering another session of the new program, the Cumberland Arts Experience, at the Kleeman Community Center located at 166 Cunningham Lane.
The Cumberland Arts Experience will be held Saturday, April 27th and will teach basic painting skills as participants paint along with an instructor to create a piece of art they can take home with them. [Read more]

Clarksville, TN – Adults at least 50-years-old can register now until May 3rd for the 2013 Clarksville 50-Plus Olympics.
This year’s events will be held May 14th-18th at various locations around Clarksville, including The Pinnacle Bowling Center, The Swan Lake Sports Complex and Golf Course, The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence and The Kleeman Community Center.

Deadline to enter Clarksville Community Centers’ Junior Film Festival program approaching

Clarksville, TN – Teens ages 15-18, here’s a chance to make your own movie! The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department’s Community Centers will begin the Junior Film Festival program March 25th.
This 10-week program will take place weekly from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at each Community Center. The Kleeman Community Center will host the program on Mondays, the Crow Community Center will host on Tuesdays and the Burt-Cobb Community Center will host on Fridays.
