Kleeman Community Center Christmas Outreach Program

Clarksville, TN – Tuesday, December 13th, the Kleeman Community Center was filled with hopeful children awaiting Santa Claus to grace them with an early appearance.
The program was organized by Kleeman Community Center Director Tonya Wacker, who had this to say, “It’s unfortunate for some members of our community that this will be the only taste of Christmas they will be able to experience. My desire is to spread hope and holiday cheer to uplift their spirits.”

Clarksville Community Centers will close temporarily for Annual Maintenance

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation would like to remind citizens that each of the three community centers will be closing temporarily to conduct their annual maintenance period.
The Crow Community Center, located at 211 Richview Road, will be closed December 5th-11th. The Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, will be closed January 9th-15th and the Burt-Cobb Community Center, located at 1101 Franklin Street, will be closed February 6th-19th. [Read more]

Kleeman Center begins new Storytelling series

Clarksville, TN – The Kleeman Community Center is partnering with the Leadership Enlightenment Academic Achievement and Perseverance Organization (L.E.A.P.) to present Storytellers at Kleeman.
Each month, children and parents can enjoy interactive story time as the storytellers from the L.E.A.P. Organization bring to life stories from cultures across the Globe. [Read more]
Santa Claus visits Clarksville Community Centers

Clarksville, TN – Mr. Claus himself will be making appearances at each of our three community centers this December.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

Warriors rehabilitate with Wheelchair Basketball at the Kleeman Center

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department and the Warrior Transition Unit Occupational Therapy Clinic hosted a Wheelchair Basketball exhibition game on Wednesday, November 9th at the Kleeman Center.
Players in the league are all soldiers in the Warrior Transition Unit at Fort Campbell. All of them have sustained a significant injury and are currently rehabilitating. The Kleeman Center will be hosting another exhibition game on Monday, November 21st from 1:00pm to 2:30 pm.
