Clarksville’s Downtown Artists’ Co-op to host Fourth Regional Art Exposition August 7th

Clarksville, TN – The Downtown Artists’ Co-op is hosting its fourth regional art exposition this August. The 2014 Regional Art Exposition will be on display the month of August in the DAC Gallery and is sponsored by Legends Bank and Sango Wine and Spirits.
All regional artists, at least 18 years of age, are encouraged to enter, and all entries will be accepted. Well-known local artists Frank Lott and Terri Jordan are jurying the entries for awards. [Read more]

At the June 26th Aspire Board Meeting, it was voted and approved that Katie Gambill, and Lloyd Matson, Premier Medical Group, will serve alongside Chairman Sammy Stuard, F&M Bank, Tommy Bates, Legends Bank, and Economic Development Council Chairman Don Jenkins, Jenkins & Wynne Ford Lincoln Honda on the FY15 Aspire Board of Directors.

Clarksville, TN – A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, “Little Shop of Horrors” has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. This summer, the Roxy Regional Theatre brings the hilarious cult classic back to the corner of Franklin and First in downtown Clarksville, May 30th – June 28th.
Ryan Bowie stars as meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn, who stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” after his coworker crush, played by Alicia Jayne Kelly.
Rain can’t drown out the 2014 APSU Governor’s Bass Tournament

Paris Landing, TN – On Saturday, in spite of storming weather, several hundred fishermen in 227 boats gathered at the Paris Landing State Park Marina for the 20th Annual Austin Peay State University Governor’s Bass Tournament.
Last season’s tourney drew 282 boats—14 more than in 2012, despite entrants being forced to utilize the back entrance because of flooding. This year’s turnout was likely suppressed by the weather which resulted in a slightly lower turnout.

Clarksville, TN – Legends Bank has joined with the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation (SHCPF), the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and the American Bankers Association (ABA) to ensure that 40,000 Veterans living in 160 state Veteran nursing homes in the U.S. are able to live out their lives in safe, secure, enhanced quality of life environments free from the daily fear of crime, abuse, neglect, hostility and deprivation of personal freedom, as provided through the Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation’s Senior Crimestoppers program.
