Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan invites Clarksville youths to join in a summer program filled with fun activities and free food designed to help them fight summertime boredom.

The sixth season of the Mayor’s Summer Night Lights program will kick off June 4th and continue at various locations throughout the summer with DJs, athletic competitions, arts and crafts, local music performances, and more.

Clarksville Downtown MarketClarksville, TN – The 2018 Clarksville Downtown Market will open Saturday, May 26th, 2018 with more than 80 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, local honey, milk, home décor, seasonal flowers and entertainment for all ages.

The Clarksville Downtown Market will be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays through October 13th on Public Square.

Enjoy live music, meet our Market mascot, “Corny the Cob,” and experience special events on select market days.

Clarksville’s May First Thursday Art Walk has large turnout

First Thursday Art WalkClarksville, TN – Downtown Clarksville’s First Thursday Art Walk for May saw perfect weather, new venues, and big crowds, as local artists showed off their latest creations.

The recently-opened Downtown Commons joined in the First Thursday fun for the first time, featuring live music from It’s Relative, the musical brother/sister duo of Nashville-based musicians Jeremiah & Jordan Johnson.

The Riverview Inn hosted local photographer, Lucas Ryan Chambers, an internationally published photographer and graphic designer based in Clarksville, TN.

Hilltop Supermarket kicked off the 2018 Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook-Off, Friday night

May 5, 2018

Hilltop SupermarketClarksville, TN – On Friday night, May 4th, 2018, Hilltop Supermarket held their 1st annual Country Kids Cook-Off. The event is part of the 2018 Dwayne Byard Memorial BBQ Cook-Off.

Hundreds of people attended the event despite the overcast skies and chance of rain. The rain held off and it turned into a wonderful night.

“This is just an all around good community event right here at Hilltop and always appreciated what they do to bring the community together,” said Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson.

Downtown Artists Co-op holds Annual Art Auction & Gala event

Clarksville Downtown Artists Co-op (DAC)Clarksville, TN – F&M Bank’s Franklin Room was packed Friday night with art lovers and avid supporters of the Downtown Artists Co-op, for the DAC’s Annual Art Auction & Gala.

This year’s event featured great food, live music and an incredible selection of artwork by local artists, that was auctioned throughout the evening. There were ten offerings in the live auction, including works by Peggy Bonnington, Janet Felts, Betty Liles and others, and more than a dozen pieces in the silent auction.

High Roller Criterium Bicycle Series Comes to Downtown Clarksville

Visit Clarksville TennesseeClarksville, TN – Visit Clarksville and Riverside Bicycle Racing announce Clarksville’s first High Roller Criterium, or crit, will take place on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 in historic downtown Clarksville.

A criterium, or crit, is a bike race consisting of several laps around a closed circuit, the length of each lap or circuit ranging from about 500 to 1000 meters. In Clarksville’s case, the course is a flat four-corner course, .8 miles in length, with tight turns around Franklin Street, Public Square, Main Street and Fourth Street.

101st Airborne Band rocks the Downtown Commons

Downtown CommonsClarksville, TN – On December 2nd, 2017, the 101st Airborne Band played at the Downtown Commons as part of the Downtown Clarksville Christmas Celebration. The event was part of the 3rd Annual SpiritFest, a holiday event, that took place in Downtown Clarksville before the 58th Annual Clarksville Lighted Christmas Parade.

The Christmas celebration at the Downtown Commons featured live music on the new stage, art & gift markets, and ice skating.
