Woodward Library is partnering this week with Loaves and Fishes, the APSU Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement and the APSU Department of Sociology to bring awareness to poverty on college campuses and identify resources that address basic needs for living, allowing students to focus on their studies.

The concert opens with “The Greatest Show” and “Never Enough” from the movie “The Greatest Showman” and features Allison Steinquest and the Oddities on vocals.

Clarksville Residents invited to join Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Clarksville Letter carriers food drive will be May 12th
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville members of the National Association of Letter Carriers invite local residents to join them in their 26th annual National Food Drive on Saturday, May 12th, 2018.
The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the country’s largest single-day food drive, provides residents with an easy way to donate food to those in need.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan presented a proclamation in support of the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. The drive, conducted by local letter carriers, will be Saturday, May 12th. 10th annual Empty Bowls Clarksville a Huge Success

Clarksville, TN – Hundreds participated in the 10th annual Empty Bowls Clarksville Tuesday, with volunteers at eight local churches serving meals to raise money and awareness for area residents dealing with food insecurities.
This year’s theme; Hope, Not Hunger, will raise tens of thousands of dollars for Loaves & Fishes, and Urban Ministries Food Pantry, local agencies that provide thousands of meals each year for those in need in our community.
Brenda Harper is one of the Empty Bowls volunteers who worked the event at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

APSU Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert returns on October 27th

Clarksville, TN – Don’t be afraid to be changed on Friday, October 27th, 2017, when Austin Peay State University’s Department of Music hosts the 33rd annual Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert. It will be a metamorphosis for the better, we assure you!
This year’s concert will feature two performances at 6:00pm and 8:00pm and takes place at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall in the Music/Mass Communication Building. Admission is two cans of food (donated to Loaves & Fishes) or $5.00.
